JAC / JCERT Learning Resources
Textbooks aligned with your official syllabus are the most reliable base for board exam preparation. For JAC-affiliated students, this generally means books published or prescribed by JCERT (Jharkhand Council of Educational Research and Training) or, for several subjects, NCERT, depending on what your school follows.
Official E-Books & Digital Resources
The official JAC website lists links to legitimate digital resources, including NCERT e-books and JCERT e-resources, which are the safest places to access digital textbook content without copyright concerns.
Class-Wise Book Resources
| Class | Subject | Book / Resource | Format | Official Source | Action |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Class 9 | Core subjects | JCERT/NCERT textbooks | Print / E-book | JCERT / NCERT | See Syllabus |
| Class 10 | Core subjects | JCERT/NCERT textbooks | Print / E-book | JCERT / NCERT | See Syllabus |
| Class 11 | Stream subjects | JCERT/NCERT textbooks | Print / E-book | JCERT / NCERT | See Syllabus |
| Class 12 | Stream subjects | JCERT/NCERT textbooks | Print / E-book | JCERT / NCERT | See Syllabus |
For each class, cross-check the exact textbook list against the syllabus page linked above, since some schools follow JCERT books for certain subjects and NCERT for others.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does JAC follow NCERT or JCERT textbooks?
It depends on the subject and school — some subjects follow JCERT-published books, others follow NCERT. Confirm the exact prescribed textbook with your school.
Where can I get official e-books for free?
The NCERT e-books portal and JCERT e-resources linked from the official JAC website are legitimate free sources.
Is it safe to download textbook PDFs from random websites?
We'd recommend against it — such copies are often outdated, incomplete, or violate copyright. Stick to official JCERT/NCERT sources.
How do I know which edition is current for my class?
Ask your school, since textbook editions are sometimes revised alongside syllabus updates.
