Class 11 Biology: chapters, notes, MCQs and tests

Class 11 is a big jump from Class 10. The chapters are longer, the numericals are harder and the same topics return in Class 12 and in entrance exams. Studying a little every day works better than a heavy revision just before the exam.

Biology has many terms, diagrams and processes, and most students lose marks because they mix up similar words. Draw the labelled diagrams yourself instead of only looking at them, since the paper often asks for them. Learn every new term together with its meaning and one example.

On Examora, Class 11 Biology has 22 chapters, starting with The Living World, Biological Classification, Plant Kingdom and ending with Transport in Plants. 19 of them have notes, 18 have practice MCQs, and 22 come with a chapter test and three online tests. PDF notes are available for 16 chapters.

Read a chapter in small parts, close the book and try to explain each part aloud. Then solve the MCQs, which are good at catching confusion between similar terms. Revise the chapters you studied first, because those are the ones that fade fastest.

Each chapter below links to its own notes, split into topics, so you can read only the part you need. The MCQs show a short explanation after every answer. The chapter test puts ten questions on one page, while the online tests give you one question at a time with a five minute timer and a full result at the end. You do not have to log in for any of it.
