Class 11 Chemistry: chapters, notes, MCQs and tests

Class 11 is a big jump from Class 10. The chapters are longer, the numericals are harder and the same topics return in Class 12 and in entrance exams. Studying a little every day works better than a heavy revision just before the exam.

Chemistry is really three subjects: physical chemistry with its numericals, inorganic chemistry with facts and trends, and organic chemistry with reactions and mechanisms. Each needs a different habit. Numericals need practice, inorganic needs regular revision, and organic needs you to write the reactions yourself again and again.

On Examora, Class 11 Chemistry has 15 chapters, starting with Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry, Structure of Atom, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties and ending with Organic Chemistry. 9 of them have notes, 12 have practice MCQs, and 15 come with a chapter test and three online tests. PDF notes are available for 9 chapters.

Keep a separate page for important reactions and named reactions and go through it every week. After reading a chapter, solve its MCQs to catch the small facts you may have missed. If a chapter has a PDF here, use it for quick revision close to the exam.

Each chapter below links to its own notes, split into topics, so you can read only the part you need. The MCQs show a short explanation after every answer. The chapter test puts ten questions on one page, while the online tests give you one question at a time with a five minute timer and a full result at the end. You do not have to log in for any of it.
