Class 9 Science: chapters, notes, MCQs and tests

Class 9 is the base for everything that comes later. A topic that feels easy now, such as number systems or atoms and molecules, comes back in a tougher form in Class 10. So it pays to understand each chapter properly instead of rushing to finish the syllabus.

Science at school is a mix of ideas you can picture and facts you simply have to remember. For ideas such as reflection of light or how a cell divides, it helps to draw a quick diagram while you read. For facts such as the names of acids or the parts of the digestive system, short and repeated revision works better than one long session.

On Examora, Class 9 Science has 15 chapters, starting with Matter in Our Surroundings, Is Matter Around Us Pure, Atoms and Molecules and ending with Natural Resources. 14 of them have notes, 15 have practice MCQs, and 15 come with a chapter test and three online tests.

Read the notes of one chapter, then solve its MCQs on the same day while it is fresh. The questions you get wrong tell you exactly what to read again. Use the chapter test for a quick check, and keep the online tests for the final revision before your exam.

Each chapter below links to its own notes, split into topics, so you can read only the part you need. The MCQs show a short explanation after every answer. The chapter test puts ten questions on one page, while the online tests give you one question at a time with a five minute timer and a full result at the end. You do not have to log in for any of it.
